How to make a little extra money. Legit companies I've tried.

Today I wanted to share with you all a few companies that I have tried that are legit ways of earning extra money during your free time. These companies have not asked or paid me to do this blog, this is all on my own free will.

First up is actually an app called Locket. This one is completely tried and true. While you don't make money quick, it doesn't take much to make it. Locket is an app that replaces your lock screen on your cell phone and with each unlock swipe you earn a penny. Plus they are other ways of earning money through their app, watching videos, downloading other apps and signing up for things. I earned $10.50 in about a month, but you could earn more than me by just using the earn more section of the app. They pay twice a month and I received my first payment on time.

Here's proof of the payment I received. Try it out and if you don't like it just uninstall it, no harm done.

Second up is Slice The Pie. This is by far the most fun one I have tried. You actually get to review songs and earn a profit in doing so. I do suggest that you review as many songs as possible in your first week because you earn a bigger profit, than you do later on. My first week I was earning roughly .20 cents per review, and now after being a member I earn about .09 to .10 cents per song. Your profit depends on how much you type, if it's the minimum you will earn the minimum. I tend to type a lot depending on the song. Music lovers, this is definitely the way to earn a little extra funds. That doesn't mean all the songs are great, there are some gems I've reviewed, but I've also reviewed some truly terrible songs. You are able to withdraw your funds after you hit $10. I haven't quite hit that yet, only because I haven't reviewed as much as I should. But I have read many reviews about this site and this company is definitely legitimate.  Here's a screenshot of the page you review songs on.

The white box is where you type your review, again the more you type the more you earn. The scale 0 - 10 is where you give the song a rating. The 90 is the seconds in which you are required to listen to the song, after that you can pause the song, or continue listening to the rest of it. They give you a ranking, the higher rank you are the more you earn, as you can see I'm a silver rank and have about 40% to go before I become gold. Anyway, try it out, it really is a lot of fun.

Last but not least is Circum News. Now this site is relatively new, but with my experience and reading others experience it seems legit. Basically you read news links they have posted for you to read and you earn $2.00 for each one read. Plus for each referral you earn $9.00.  I just signed up yesterday, and I've already earned over $30.00. From what I've read the Available New for you to read and earn updates every few days, so if you've earned all that you can don't be discouraged just keep checking back. I've read people making $100's within their first week. Give it a try, it's really not time consuming at all and whats the harm in earning a little extra money. I promise that with my first payment, I'll post about it just to prove for sure just how legitimate it is.

Here's what the Available News list looks like on Circum News, just click on the link read an article, close the article and confirm you've read it. Super simple.

So get out there and earn a little extra money, definitely helps around this time of year!

OSiS+ Hair Product

This spring I was honored to be qualified for the Spring Fever VoxBox from Influenster! I just got my VoxBox a few days ago and will be reviewing products I received complimentary for testing purposes during the next few weeks.

Next up for review is OSiS+ Hair Product by Schwarzkopf Professionals. I have naturally curly hair, but because of the naturally frizzy hair that come with it I normally style it more on the straight/wavy side. I have tried many, and I mean many different kinds of hair products to accentuate my curls but tame my frizz, and until now have not found one. Today I tried  OSiS+ Hair Product by Schwarzkopf Professionals Gelastic ultra strong flex gel. A not very known fact about me, I actually only wash my hair 2 times a week. Since I have curly, long hair it dries out very easily if I shampoo it frequently, even with conditioner and leave in treatments. Today was my day of shampooing, after rinsing, conditioning, and drying (with a microfiber towel) I went on with my normal hair regimen, leave in conditioner, detangling spray and anti-frizz serium. I then combed my hair and applied about a silver dollar size of the gel in my palm, disbursed it evenly and scrunched my hair to push my hair into curly mode. I actually really like this product, it's not too crunchy, holds the curls well but still moves with me. All in all I would definitely recommend this product, and will be purchasing it again in the future.

Tastykake® Kandy Bar Kakes

I received my Influenster Spring Fever VoxBox a few days ago, and in the VoxBox included this yummy Kandy Bar Kake from Tatsykake! This box I received complimentary for testing purposes.

Believe it or not, I am not a huge chocolate fan. I can eat it in small doses, but I find it too rich for my pallet. I split this bar in half with my husband, and to my surprise we both love it. I had never heard of Tastykake before, it must not be sold in my area, but after eating one I will now be on the hunt to purchase these in the furture. It was very moist, with just the right amount of Reese's peanut butter.

Broadway Nails imPRESS

This spring I was honored to be qualified for the Spring Fever VoxBox from Influenster! I just got my VoxBox a few days ago and will be reviewing products I received complimentary for testing purposes during the next few weeks.

Today I'm reviewing Broadway Nails ImPRESS nails I received. Also you can go on their website and get a $1 off coupon.

The package comes with basically one set of nails that last a week, but comes with more options since all nail sizes are different. I had some nails that fit perfectly and others not so perfect. They come in a shorter length so I had to file my nails down. They stuck on pretty well, but at times was hard to peel of the protector sheet to reveal the stickiness. All in all they work really well for a special occasion, but didn't hold up too well for my day to day life. I will say that I didn't have one of them pop off, like the ones I used to put on as a child. :)

1 UP Mushroom Nails

Here's a quick little step by step guide of my latest nails. I wanted something colorful and relatively simple and this is what I came up with.

I used a dotting tool to create the polka dots and eyes, the rest was done with a nail polish brush. Don't forget the clear coat!

Our Iggy Pup.

Some of you may remember my post about 8 months ago about our dog Iggy we rescued. You can click on the word Iggy to see the post about him being rescued. I really wanted to share with everyone how much better he is now, and how happy of a puppy he's become.

April 2nd, we celebrated his first birthday! I made him little pupcakes, made of rice, hamburger and mixed vegetables, topped with mashed potatoes. He got to eat two, and a few of his puppy friends got to have one too.

When we first got him, he was afraid to be outside, afraid of all people and only wanted to be with us. He now loves the outdoors, barks at people instead of running away in fear and loves playing with other dogs. I guess I'm just trying to say we're so proud of our puppy's progress. He's turned into an amazing dog.

A Photography Share!

Besides my love for nail polish, I am a avid photographer. My husband and I have been doing photography on the side since 2009. Last week we got an opportunity to photograph a 6 week old baby boy, Devin. He's so adorable, and I wanted to share a few great photos we got of him.

An Update.

Hello All!

It has been so long. Our life has been a whirlwind these past months. Life gave us lemons, and we tried making lemonade, but sometimes there were just too many lemons. Hehe. Long story short, we had to move and make a lot of financial adjustments, but we're making do and doing much better.

I just wanted to post what my nails have looked like the past few months, as I try to get back into the swing of things again. Here's to the first of many more posts to come!
